Second Story is inspired by the vague memory of playing upstairs at my grandparents’ house when I was little. Although I went to their house often, my sisters and I rarely went up there.

My grandparents are the reason I love old things so much. They had so many wonderful objects into their house and to this day, well-made antiques make me think of them.

The presence of supermodels in my paintings symbolizes aspirations I have for past or present things to be different, something I know is useless to desire.
