I started this painting while living in a condensed historic neighborhood. It’s inspired by images and cartoons (i.e. Charlie Brown Christmas) where bundled up characters walk along streets at night with warm, lit houses sit back in the distance.

I don’t like cold, but I love the warmth of festive gatherings.

After not touching this painting for several months, I completed it after moving to a neighborhood that looks wildly similar to the one I created. I think it had some sort of predictive powers of how my life would change in the course of a year.
