Snake in Butterfly Weed Handbag
This one-of-a-kind handmade and hand-painted leather handbag is a collaboration between Jamie Chard Kowarick of Fadomade and Beth Meadows.
Beth paints with Angelus leather paint using imagery inspired by her country home in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. She explores the theme of “Predator and Prey in this collaboration.
Jamie’s bag is made using wax finished chrome tanned leather hand-stitched using round leather cord and finished with two brass magnetic closures. It is lined with vegetable tanned leather.
The colors of the snake are bright grass green and red and the butterfly weed is orange. The colors of the bag are brick with the same color cord.
MEASUREMENTS
Handle opening 5” wide and 2” tall
Height of bag without handle is 7”
Width of bag is 13”
Interior width is 2.5”

Jamie learned to construct and design accessories from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has been making leather goods for the past 9 years. She draws inspiration from vintage shapes and loves to play with color and texture. You can learn more about her at fadomadeco.com.
