ABOUT THE ARTWORK

(2010?) acrylic on canvas Inspired by a memory of swimming at a public pool as a kid. I’d hit that water for so long with my eyes wide open, that on the drive home at night, all the street lights would be big blurs from the chlorine. It’s a very strong memory. And the colors were what I was seeing in fashion magazines at the time: gold & black.
