ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In 2019, I made a painting called Smokies Sunset for my grandmother. She’s a tough critic, so I went back and forth on the color of the sky, painting over it again and again to see what looked best. At one point, I thought I had settled on the coral pink sky you see above. I went ahead and scanned the painting, but ultimately painted over it again.
